Dr. Tim

Dr. Tim Downing grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina and received his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Purdue University in 1990. Upon graduation Dr. Downing was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and designated a Naval Aviator. He served as a fighter pilot, flying F-14 Tomcats and F/A-18 Super Hornets, completing six combat deployments off aircraft carriers in support of operations in Bosnia, Iraq and Afghanistan. During his service, he earned a Masters in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle University and is a graduate of the United States Navy Test Pilot School. After 21 years on active duty, Dr. Downing retired as a Commander and graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUSD) in 2015. He is the Chair of the Ivy Tech Dental Assisting program, President of the Western Central Dental Society, and Chair of the Benton County Board of Health. He has been married to Brenda, whom he met at Purdue, for 32 years and they have two children, Elizabeth and William. Outside the practice, he competes in marathons and Ironman triathlons, including the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii in 2010. Dr. Downing likes to keep the atmosphere light so patients feel at ease in the dental chair.

Shelbie

Shelbie grew up in Newton County, Indiana and attended South Newton High School (Class of 2015). She graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in Lafayette, IN (Class of 2019) with an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Dental Assisting and a Technical Certificate in Dental Assisting. She also has her Radiology License, Coronal Polishing Certificate, Fluoride Application Certificate, and her Expanded Functions Dental Assisting Certificate.

Shelbie married her husband Blake Anderson on Oct 30 2021. They have two children Tessa and Miles as well as two cats, Ouija and Salem, and two dogs, Smokey and Bandit. She loves spending time with her family and going to concerts.

Erin

Erin grew up in Benton County and attended BCHS Class of 2010. Erin is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated with honors from Parkland College in Champagne Illinois with a degree in Dental Hygiene of Applied Sciences. She enjoys building relationships with her patients and educating them on the importance of their overall oral health.

Outside of the office, Erin enjoys camping, reading, but most of all she enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters, Blake, Blair, and Colie.

Kira

Kira grew up in Benton County and graduated from Benton Central in 2013. Although she graduated from Ivy Tech in 2016 for Dental Assisting she prefers to greet patients at the front desk and handle insurance for patients.

In Kiras free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, and doing photography.

Alyssa

Alyssa graduated from Indiana University NW with her Associate Degree of Applied Science in Dental Assisting. She has been an EFDA for 11 years. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and dog. She loves swimming, bike rides, and all things sports!

Jamie

Jamie grew up in Lake County, Indiana and graduated from Hobart High School in 2009. She became a Certified Dental Assistant in 2010, receiving her Coronal Polishing Certificate and Fluoride Application Certificate. She has also been trained for expanded functions. Jamie enjoys creating a lighthearted environment for her patients, hoping to make their dental experience as pleasant as possible!

Jamie married her high school sweetheart in 2015 and has three daughters. Outside of the office, she enjoys music, concerts, and dance parties with her family.
